Dipl.-Ing Balázs Héjj
Selected projects and personal credentials
At HILTI AG Liechtenstein, as Global Head of Supplier Quality Engineering, Balazs built a global function across six regions, establishing three new regional teams and increasing technical consulting capacity by 30%. He delivered more than CHF 500k in annualized savings through process redesign, automation, employee training and systematic cost-of-poor-quality reduction.
In this function, he also led supplier qualification, technical consulting, supplier development and cross-functional task forces on critical supplier issues across the globe (from Americas through Europe to Asia), resolving high-stakes technical problems within 2–3 days and saving CHF 200–300k per case during industrialization projects.
In the semiconductor equipment industry, Balazs identified $8M in supply-chain savings potential and translated the findings into a strategic improvement roadmap supporting organizational transformation from start-up to scale-up.
In the highly regulated (nuclear) field, Balazs developed multiple product families, introducing modular product architecture and standardized stage-gate governance to increase design reuse, reduce complexity and improve industrialization efficiency across the product portfolio, resulting in a 30% reduction in average project duration.
During 4 years at AUDI AG, Balazs conducted in-depth technical investigations, translating complex engineering evidence into robust conclusions used to resolve technical disputes and support commercial/legal decision-making.
